About Us

Who are we?

The Muslim Youth Community Center (MYCC) is a 501c3, non-profit organization registered in the State of NJ. Our mission is to serve local communities by providing a venue for communal programs that promote Muslim values to people of all ages, faiths, and backgrounds. MY Community Center's vision is to establish full-fledged community centers with the most state-of-the-art facilities which include basketball courts, swimming pools, separate work-out areas for men and women, daycare, outdoor fields (soccer, baseball, football), professional kitchen, seminar room/auditorium, banquet halls and much, much more. These facilities will first be erected in NJ and then franchised throughout the United States.

What are we planning to do?

MYCC is looking to form a multi-sport association for the youth of New Jersey called the MYCC Sports League. Our beta product being currently launched is a boys basketball league for teenagers ages 13 to 17 in high school grades 9-12. For convenience to the parents, we are planning to split the league into a North and Central Division, with inter-divisional match-ups in the playoff and championship series.

What is our goal in doing this?

To connect the Muslim youth of New Jersey together into one cohesive community, agnostic of ethnicity, race, color, locale, or religiosity. By extension, we hope to bridge the gaps that exist within the supporting structures of the youth such as our Islamic Schools, Mosques, and Community Centers.

What's the long term vision?

To expand our the MYCC Sports League into a multi-sport league catering to both the young men and women (ages 5-18) of the New Jersey community. Sports to be added in the near future are basketball, football, soccer, and volleyball.

Why trust us?

Since our inception seven years ago, over 1,000 athletes have participated in our leagues. We are in the midst of planning for our 11th basketball season (24 teams), our 5th Softball season (14 teams) and our 4th Football season (16 teams.) Each year our leagues have grown by an average of 10%. We are fully insured, and have rented facilities from a variety of public and private entities such as: Police Athletic Leagues, multiple Townships, Counties, YMCAs, etc. To get more information on our leagues please visit us at muslimbasketball.org and jams-league.com.
